A special visitor

This little guy greeted us one morning.  Noah was totally enchanted with him, and the hummingbird did not seem to mind sharing the feeder at all.

Camping Photos

I spent a few days camping "up North" with my family and church family. We had a great time, but I do enjoy coming home and getting really clean.  No matter how many times I shower when camping, I still feel dirty.  Perhaps it is the constant smell of bug spray on your clothing, or the fact that you wear shower shoes and your feet just never get clean.  Anyway, it was a wonderful few days with friends in a very pretty place.  I took some photos and have had fun playing with them in PSE.

Senior Pictures

I'm so excited to be taking my nephew's senior pictures.  Here are a few I took yesterday.

We need to get some of his sports and outdoors ones taken.

Summer Blooms

These are some of my perennials planted around our property.
They make me happy just looking at them.
I think this is prairie primrose.

                                       Tiger Lily, of course.

                                             Hens and chicks.
                                            Golden Sundrop

Asiatic lily of some kind - love the pink color.

                                  Some kind of perennial grass.

Garden Angel - keeping the snakes away!

If you look closely at the last one, you can see some weeds in there too - oops!

I'll bet the Garden of Eden was beautiful.  Flowers, fruit trees, rivers, no weeds, no bugs, oh, but I forgot - there was a snake!

Rubber boots and little boys

I love taking photos of feet and shoes.  My boys wear these rubber boots all the time.  They are easy to slip on and off, and as wet as our yard is these days, they keep their feet dry.  I think they look hilarious in their shorts and boots, but they are little boys and they do not care about fashion.

I would like to say they get their "weirdness" from their dad, but you all know me too well and you've all seen my nutty side. I guess they inherited that from me!
